This song was originally called simply Heartbreak. It was one of the most popular Thin Ice songs and the group typically encored with it at most of their performances. The idea was to create a simple and catchy bass, guitar and keyboard riff that would also serve as the basis for the vocal melody of the song. We wanted to write a really driving rock song that got people's attention. The effect was powerful at the time and the group continued to play the song at every performance even after we felt we had basically outgrown the song stylistically. The unison horn part and exciting guitar solo at the end still pack a punch.
