This is another song which, unfortunately, existed only in a final mixed down form and which there wasn't a better recording available. Therefore, only remastering could be used to enhance it. As the title suggests, It Can Happen is an unbridled and optimistic statement about Thin Ice's potential for success. At the time, of course, we could think about little else. With it's clearly Steely Dan influenced arrangement, it represented a bold leap for the group in terms of making a musical statement. It's dominated by complex ensemble parts and some really subtle and sophisticated musical interplay for such a young group. We were quite proud of it at the time and are reminded of the anticipation and excitement of being in a group on the "verge of success" every time we hear it.
