This is, so far, the only surviving recording of one of perhaps 5-6 songs written by Matt Christensen (David Chris) for Thin Ice. For the anthology, a tape was provided by David after which it was digitized and enhanced by Matt Snyder with organ and reverse cymbal to give it an even more other worldly effect. The song didn't become part of the regular repertoire of Thin Ice, therefore solos and other parts were never fully developed through the rehearsal process. What you hear is the most final version of the song that was possible at that point. David's vocal is heartfelt and his Ian Anderson influenced solo, in particular, shows off his great skill as a young flute player. The song also reflects musical ideas that the band was taken with at the time such as the riff from Frank Zappa's Dirty Love during the solo section and the final instrumental out chorus which is a nod to Nefertiti by Miles Davis.
